C1010, sometimes referred to as C1008, is a common or ordinary low carbon (0.25% maximum) steel as contrasted with special or alloy steels, which contain other alloying metals in addition to the usual constituents of steel in their common percentages.
RESISTANCE TO CORROSION
C1010 lacks the corrosion resistance properties found in chromium-nickel stainless steels.
